26.5.08
Hey Lord, the sign says: If your religion doesn’t even get you to church, how do you expect it to get you to Heaven?
29.5.08
Hey Lord, I got into trouble again. Sometimes I say to people “We need to fast and pray, we have to stop being so complacent” - if they want to serve You, they say “Yes, we need to”, but the ‘in’ crowd, the beautiful people at church who are busy sitting in trendy cafes rubbing shoulders with the right set, get narked off with me for telling them what to do. They say that fasting is not commensurate with their cushy lifestyle (therefore, being comfortable is better than earnestly seeking Your face and seeing a mighty move where people get saved, healed and delivered). I said, but the people are hurting, and they said yes, but they don’t like fasting. So, I’m in the bad books for telling people what to do. I am not telling them what to do. My injunction has “if you want to see a move of God” implied in it and they know that. It’s an exhortation, (not an order) and it is the words of God through me. God doesn’t want anyone to die, and the people need to be told that they are going to hell. I think there are too many movies where the one hero saves the nation, everyone is waiting for the hero to appear to do their work for them.
7.6.08
Hey Lord, notes I picked up from my travels.
“I’ve heard this before” is an unteachable spirit. Be hungry for God.
Don’t let disappointment weigh down your soul and drag you down. Make a decision to let go.
Don’t pull back when God pulls you. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life. God is good.
This is from The Word for Today.
Eph 5:17 therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
To overcome procrastination, you must:
Take responsibility for your life, do something proactive in your faith.
Examine your excuses. An excuse puts the blame on something other than you, which means the solution is beyond your reach. Excuses are like the exit signs on the road of progress; they take us off the track. It’s easier to move from failure to success, than from excuses to success. So examine your excuses and eliminate them.
Focus on the benefits of completing a task.
Ask for help, even Columbus needed a crew.. Paul said that every part does its share, causing growth in the body for the edifying of itself in love. (Eph 4:16)
When God tells you to repent, He gives you time and grace to do it. If you don’t, there are consequences. Acts 26:20. Sin is a choice, and if you continue to choose it, your ability to say ‘no’ is weakened, so you become enslaved to that sin.
One guy who had trouble with a particular continual sin, said to God “Why don’t You help me with this?” He answered, ‘Because you aren’t disgusted with it yet. You are still enjoying it’ He realised that he enjoyed the rewards of the sin more than the rewards of obedience. He also realised that he couldn’t hate the sin enough by the power of his own fleshly will to come to true repentance. Repentance is a gift of love which comes from God, so allow Him to touch those carefully guarded areas and expose them so we can lay them at His feet.
Glad Tidings School of Evangelism.
Everyone is called to share the gospel. (Acts 1:8, - you shall be witnesses etc. Luke 24:47, - repentance should be preached, Matt 28:19 – go and teach all nations.)
Things that stop people from sharing Jesus are: Fear, (Jer 16:9, - I cannot speak, I am but a child, 2 Tim 1:7 - God has not given us a spirit of fear) not knowing what to say, (2 Tim 2:15 – Study to shew thyself approved, Prov 15:28 – the righteous study to answer) lack of concern, (2 Cor 5:14,15 – we live for God who died for us Also Eze 33:1-9) you think people will not accept it from you. (Ex 3:11,12 – Moses said, who am I, and God said, certainly I will be with you)
(Acts 20:24, - joy to testify Ps 126:5,6, - sow in tears, reap with joy, Acts 13:49-52, - filled with joy after persecuted,)
You would prefer God use someone else. Isa 6:8-9 Whom shall I send? Send me. What is the gospel? A. Jn 3:16 just about wraps it up. But I usually say that God created the world and made us in His image, that everyone has sinned and since God is holy, He can’t have sin in His presence and that the penalty for sin is going to hell. Also, that Jesus (God) came and died in our place, paying the penalty for us, so we can be made whole and become saved. God doesn’t want anyone to go to hell, in fact, He didn’t even make hell for us, but for the devil. We have a free choice to accept this free gift or not, but God will grieve if you reject Him, and in the spirit realm, He stands in front of you, urging you to come to Him.
The following information, you may already know, but do you know it well enough to share with others, to minister in it and to train others to evangelise as well?
The ministry of evangelism is to equip the saints. The work is reconciliation and the thing that stops us from fulfilling this ministry is improper expectations.
We are called to be witnesses, not soul winners. (Acts 1:8)
Jesus teaches us to become fishers of men.
Who is Jesus Christ?
The Son of God. Mark 1:1
The Messiah. John 4:25,26
God. They picked Jn 14:8,9 which says since Phillip had seen Jesus, he had seen the Father. My answer would have been: Rom 9:5, Jn 1:1-18, Col 1:15-17, Col 2:9, Heb 1:6-12, Heb 7:3, Jude 1:4, 2 Pet 2:1, Mk 2:6,7, Jn 8:58, Jn 9:38, Jn 10:30-33 and 38, Phil 2:6, Tit 2:13, 1 Jn 1:1-3, Daniel 7:11-14, Matt 14:32, Luke 8:39,40, Jn 12:41 which refers to Isa 61-5), Lk 19:44, Lk 23:40, Jn 11:30-33, Rev 1:18
The God/Man Phil 2:6,7
One of the Trinity 1 Tim 2:5 and 1 Jn 5:7
The Eternal Word of God Jn 1,14
Creator of all things. Jn 1:3
Do you believe that you will go to Heaven when you die? 1 Jn 5:13…that you may know that you have eternal life. Also Jn 3;16, 36 and 6:47
We believe this because there is no other foundation 1 Cor 3:11
We must have a genuine relationship with the living God in order to share Him with others.
Excuses for people not to give their life to the Lord.
They omitted the most common one I come across which is: ‘What has God done for me?’ (Why should I?) Wow, that’s cheeky! This comes from someone who has absolutely no idea how big God is or how sinful they are. It also has the implied attitude that it would be completely God’s privilege if they submit to Him, because they would be the one making all the sacrifices. Firstly, God is so big and powerful and amazing, that if He appeared to you, you would die of fright so quick you would not have time for your hair to stand on end and turn grey, your knees to knock, to soil your nappy and vomit or even to faint. Second, He created you, so even if He were a tyrant, He would still have the right to own you and do whatever He wanted with you. Third, He is the one who made all the sacrifices, sending Jesus to live in one of these puny, filthy bodies and being humiliated and tortured and killed, all in your place to die for your sins, so you could go to Heaven. Fourth, anything He wants you to give up is so that He can be closer to you and the thing you are losing is killing your body, soul or spirit or all three. If you have kids, you may know how much it hurts when they rebel and do silly things that hurt themselves, when you told them not to do it because you didn’t want them to get hurt. Well, even if people have well behaved children, they will remember the first time the child touched something hot even though they were told not to, because in the wisdom of the child, hot didn’t exist.
(They didn’t have this one either) ‘He’ll call me when He wants me.’ I say He sent me to tell you, and bring up the verse about today is the day of salvation (2 Cor 6:2) and the one about I can relax – I will be comfortable for years, you fool, tonight your soul is required of you. (Lk 12:20)
‘It is God’s responsibility to reveal Himself to me.’ Jer 29:13 which says that when we seek God with all our heart, God will let us find Him. That’s a good verse, I usually also say that all creation reveals the glory of God. Rom 1:20 which also says that therefore all men are without excuse. I also say that people love their sins, so they stop up their ears etc. and that’s why they don’t find Him. Acts 28:27. Rom 10:21 says that all day long, He has holds His hands out to a disobedient and obstinate people.
‘I think God is too good to send anyone to Hell.’ 2 Peter 3:9 and Eze 18:23 which say that God doesn’t want anyone to perish. John 3:18 says that whoever does not believe already stand condemned. Matt 25:46 says that the damned will go away to eternal punishment.
‘It’s hard to believe in a God I can’t see.’ 2 Cor 5:7 says we live by faith, not sight, I don’t think that is a good one for unbelievers. Heb 11:6 which says that without faith it is impossible to believe God and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. Tit 1:2 which says that God cannot lie and He promised us a hope of eternal life.
I usually say that deep down everyone believes in God because our spirit is from God and it knows the truth, that’s why people can respond to it without ever hearing it before. Don’t spend time arguing with them over this one, it’s a red herring, designed to waste your time and get the conversation off the truth. Just keep talking as if they know God exists and the Holy Spirit can work on the truth. If it really seems to be an issue for them, ask them to pray a prayer telling God the truth eg. “God, I don’t know if you’re there or not, but if You are, then I need to know, so please reveal yourself to me” God will answer that prayer in His own way and in His own time. It’s not your problem.
‘I will do it later.’ Ps 16:11 You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. I like this verse because people think that God is a kill-joy and they want to enjoy themselves before they give their life to Him. Ps 84:11 is similar. Mk 8:36,37 What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? James 4:4 says that friendship with the world is hatred towards God. I probably wouldn’t use that one, I would probably use the one that says that he who is not for me is against me. (Lk 11:23) They used Pr 29:1 which says that anyone who stubbornly remains stiff-necked will be suddenly destroyed without remedy. Job 34:20 They die in an instant, in the middle of the night; the people are shaken and they pass away; the mighty are removed without human hand.
Isa 55:6 says to seek the Lord while He may be found. Heb 2:3 says how shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation? And 2 Cor 6:2 Yep, today.
‘I am afraid of praying to receive Christ and nothing happening.’ They picked Heb 11:6, which says without faith it is impossible to please God, I think that’s a bit harsh. Also, obviously, Rev 3:20, behold, I stand at the door and knock……
‘I am trying or have tried it before.’ Prov 3:5-6 trust in the Lord with all your heart…
Isa 12:2 Surely God is my salvation, I will trust ……. Eph 2:8,9 by grace saved, a gift. Seriously though, if they are finding that it’s not working, I would say that they never truly repented or don’t want to show commitment. (Or they don’t believe they have been saved because they have a problem with guilt which may only be condemnation from the devil)
‘I’m too old (or young)’ 2 Cor 6:2 today is day of salvation. Ecc 12:1 Remember your creator. Deut 4:29-31 You will find Him if you look with all your heart.
‘I’m afraid I won’t be able to hold on to being a Christian.’ Rom 14:4 Only God can judge whether you stand or fall, not anyone else, and God will make you stand.
2 Cor 12:9 My grace is sufficient for you. God uses your weakness for a show of His power. Phil 1:6 He who begun a good work will bring it to completion. 2 Tim 1:12 He will bring it to completion.
‘Other people will laugh at me or don’t want to lose friends.’ 2 Tim 2:12 if we endure,
we will also reign with Him. If we disown Him, He will also disown us;
James 4:4 friendship with the world is hatred towards God. The Spirit within us envies intensely (that means don’t compromise because the Holy Spirit wants all of us)
‘I’m so weak or too big a sinner.’ Jn 1:12 all who receive Him get the right to become children of God. Isa 26:3-4 trust in the Lord I Tim 1:15 Paul said that Jesus came to save sinners, of which he was the worst. Isa 1:18 let us reason says the Lord, though your sins are scarlet, they will be whiter than snow.
‘I think I’ve committed the Unpardonable sin.’ Isa 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his ways, the LORD will have mercy. 1 Cor 6:9-11 You were sinners, but now you are washed, sanctified. 1 Tim 1:13 though I was a blasphemer I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. I also add that you would have no desire to seek God or feel tempted to give your life to the Lord if you had committed the unforgiveable sin because the Holy Spirit would not draw you.
‘There are too many hypocrites or they have been hurt by a church or Christian.’
Isa 45:22 Turn and be saved for I am God and there is no other. Matt 7:1-5 that’s about not judging. Acts 1:16 that’s about Judas being one of them, but he betrayed Jesus. Rom 14:12-13 Everyone has to give account of himself to God. Matt 7:21-23 Not everyone who says Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom of Heaven. I also find that this protestation includes the person’s fear that they will become a hypocrite since the life is hard to lead, so I also say that no one is perfect and Christianity is a walk and we are continually being refined and it is up to God how fast that happens, but no one will ever become perfect so when you fall, you get back up and keep walking.
‘Do I have to receive Christ publicly?’ Matt 10:32,33 whoever acknowledges Christ publicly, He will acknowledge before the Father, the same with denial. Acts 2:21
Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Rom 10:9,10 confess with your mouth, you will be saved.
‘I’m not a sinner’ or ‘I am a good person (go to church)’ Isa 64:6,7 All of us are unclean and no one calls on your name. Jn 16:9 Holy Spirit will convict the world because they sin. Amazing he didn’t think of Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short. Or it is by grace you are saved, not works etc (Eph 2:5) or Isa 64:6 our righteousness as filthy rags.
‘I don’t care if I go to hell, all my friends will be there.’ 1 Sam 2:9 wicked silenced in darkness. Lk 16:19-28 that’s about the rich man who died and was in agony. Ps 11:6 fiery coals, sulfur and scorching winds. Ps 112:10 gnash teeth and waste away. Matt 25:30 darkness, weeping and gnashing of teeth.
‘I don’t feel anything.’ 2 Cor 5:7 not by faith, by sight.
‘I’m trying to find Jesus, but I can’t.’ Jer 29:13 when you seek me with all your heart, you will find me. Isa 55:7 let the wicked forsake his ways and God will have mercy and pardon. 1 Jn 3:22 we receive anything we ask.
‘I can’t understand God or the Bible.’ Rom 11:33 God is too deep to search out. Ps 25:14 The Lord confides in those who fear Him and makes His covenant known to them. 1 Cor 2:14 Spiritual things are spiritually discerned.
‘I can’t break loose from my sins.’ Lk 13:3 Unless you repent, you will perish. Gal 6:8 sow destruction, you will reap destruction. Heb 7:25 able to save completely because He intercedes.
‘I want to remain open-minded and neutral about religion.’ I am a sincere person. Jn 14:6 Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
‘It would hurt those close to me.’ Matt 10:34-39 anyone who loves relatives more than me is not worthy of me. whoever loses his life for my sake, will find it.
‘What about those who never hear the gospel?’ Rom 1:19,20 God has made it plain through creation that He exists, so that no one has an excuse. Rom 2:14-16 laws are written on people’s hearts, so inwardly they know anyway. I wouldn’t have said that, I would have given Rom 4:15 say that where there is no law, there is no transgression and 5:13 sin is not taken into account where there is no law. I also point out that if people earnestly seek God, and they really have no way to find out, Jesus appears to them. I’ve heard lots of testimonies where that has happened.
‘All religions lead to God.’ Jn 10:7-12 that’s about Jesus being the good shepherd and the gate and everyone else is a thief and robber. Jn 14:6 Jesus is way, truth and life. Acts 4:10-12 salvation is found in no one else.
Why Christians Should Witness.
Eze 33:1-9 If you are in the watchtower and you see the enemy coming and you blow the trumpet and everyone says keep quiet, and they die, their blood is on their own heads. But if you see the enemy coming and fail to blow the trumpet, and they die, their blood is on your head. (we are the last trumpet)
Gen 4:9 that one is stretching a long bow. Cain was responsible for Abel’s blood because he killed him, not because it was his responsibility to watch his back.
Isa 55:8 God’s thoughts are not our thoughts. (what is important to us is not what is important to God)
Deut 10:17-19 God loves everyone and we should too.
2 Tim 2:4 if you’re going to serve in God’s army, you should be concerned with His things, not civilian things.
Matt 6:33 Seek first the kingdom of God.
Dan 12:3 if you lead people to the Lord, you will shine like a star forever.
Col 3:1-3 set your mind on heavenly things, not earthly things.
James 4:13-17 Don’t say you’ll do it later, you may not even be alive later.
Ps 126:5,6 God promises that if you go out weeping, you will return with songs of joy, carrying your sheaves.
Phil 3:12-14 forget what is behind and press on towards the prize.
1 Tim 4:12 don’t let people look down on you because you are young.
2 Tim 4:5 endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist
1 Cor 2:1-5 Paul didn’t have wisdom or eloquence, but with a demonstration of power.
2 Cor 3:5 our competence comes from God. The Spirit gives life.
Phil 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
Phil 2:13 God is the one who gives you the desire and the way to do His work.
Acts 4:13 God gives you courage.
Mark 8:38 if you are ashamed of God, He will be ashamed of you.
Rom 1:16,17 gospel is power of God.
Luke 6:22,23 blessed are you when men hate you because of God.
2 Tim 2;12 if we endure, we will reign with Him.
Ex 4:13,14 Lord’s anger burned against Moses because he said Send someone else because he felt inadequate.
Mark 1:14-18 Jesus chose ordinary people
Prov 11:30 he who wins souls is wise.
2 Cor 10:12 don’t compare yourself with others, just do your own job.
Heb 12:2 fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, He endured much opposition, so we will not grow weary.
Jn 12:42,43 the people were ashamed of Jesus because they loved the praises of men more than of God.
Prov 29:25 fear of man is a snare, but whoever trusts in God is kept safe.
Rev 3:14-19 God spews lukewarm out of His mouth.
Ecc 11:4 Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap. That means don’t look at circumstances, just do the job, it’s not up to you to decide who will respond.
Ecc 11:5,6 God knows what He is doing, and it’s His problem, not yours.
Jn 1:40-46 You don’t have to know everything about God, just tell what you do know. You have a testimony.
1 Jn 4:17,18 Perfect love drives out fear.
Rev 21:8 we need to save people from hell.
John 8:36 If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
2 Jn 9,10 If people don’t have correct salvation teaching, it is your responsibility to tell them the truth.
Jude 3-5 contend for the faith, because there is lots of false teaching everywhere.
Acts 5:40-42 you need to tell the truth even if it upsets some people.
John 15:18-20 the world hates you because you don’t belong to it, as it hated Jesus.
There are some things about God and His nature that He has not allowed man to know. 1 Cor 2:10, Ps 50:21, Isa 55:8, Isa 40:28, Ps 145:3, Prov 25:2, Isa 45:15, Ps 77:19, 1 Tim 6:16, Ps 50:12, 1 Tim 3:16. (I don’t think that these are things God has not allowed us to know, but rather that we are not capable of knowing)
What is a cult? In religion and sociology, a cult is a term designating a cohesive group of people (generally, but not exclusively a relatively small and recently founded religious movement) devoted to beliefs or practices that the surrounding culture or society considers to be outside the mainstream (Wikapedia)
Cults attack fundamental doctrines of the Bible. 2 Peter 3:16. 2 Cor 11:3,4 which says not to accept people’s doctrines who teach things that the Bible does not teach.
Why do people join cults? 2 Thess 2:10-12 says that God let them have a powerful delusion because they delighted in wickedness and refused to love the truth. I would also add that cults form an elitist group and that panders to people’s egos and that cults promise a way of salvation that doesn’t require sacrifice.(Usually works-based)
Christians should love them and pray for them, but unless you are competent to minister to them, don’t invite them into your house. 2 John 9,10.
Hate their false beliefs. Ps 119:104, 128 “I hate every false way”
God allows cults and false religions because 1 Jn 2:19 and 1 Cor 11:19 says that the differences show which God approves. I would have said also that God lets us have a free choice.
The five basic gospel constituents are all contained in Jn 3:16. (God, World, Son, believe (faith), eternal life)
They bring God down to a lower level in regards to His uniqueness and identity. They say there are many gods or we can become gods. They say there is no difference between God and creation or that there is no trinity or God is not a person.
They build man up to a higher level in regards to His basic sin nature and potential. They say man is basically good and not a sinner. They say that man can become a god or save himself.
They bring Christ down to a lower level in regards to His mission and identity. They say He was a mere man and not God and that He did not die for sins, that His mission failed, that He did not die. They say that He was not sinless, not eternal, that He is one of many gods, that He did not save us, that He was an angel.
They say that faith in Christ is just a cliché. They trust in works of some part of the creation to save them, either their own, someone else or some organisation.
Comparing God and man on moral standards:
God: Perfect (Matt 5:48) Man: All sinners (Rom 3:23)
God: Good. (Ps 106:1, 145:9) Man: no one is good (Rom 3:12)
God: Holy. (Isa 6:3, Ps 145:17) Man: unholy. 2 Tim 3:2
God: Righteous (Jer 12:1, Rom 9:14) Man: Unrighteous (Isa 64:6)
God: Impartial judge (1 Pet 1:17, Rom 2:6) Man: no one just (Ecc 7:20)
God: Unable to lie (Heb 6:18, Num 23:19) Man: deceitful above all (Jer 17:9)
God: Love (1 Jn 4:8, Jer 31:3) Man: lovers of self (2 Tim 3:2)
Ps 39:5 says that when man is at his best, he is empty.
We cannot ignore our sin and get to God.
Isa 59:1 says our sins have separated us from God.
Jesus is 100% man (1 Tim 2:5, Phil 2:8, 2 Cor 8:9, Isa 52:14, Phil 2:7, 1 Cor 1:18)
and 100% God. (Jn 20:28, Jn 1:1,14) Isa 9:6, 1 Tim 3:16, Jn 10:30, 14:7-9)
Things people say about Christianity in comparison with cults.
Everyone says they are right, how do I know which one to believe?
A. Read your Bible.
All religions are basically the same.
A. Looks like that until you look into it. I also say that the main difference is that cults are man’s way to get to God and Christianity is God’s way to get to man.
If all the religious people spent their lives studying and can’t agree, how do I know which is truth?
A If you seek God, you will have truth revealed as you study and if you stop seeking with your heart, you will come up with error. Most Christians agree on 98% of the Bible and the 2% that they disagree on are not major doctrines.
Do you know what he hasn’t addressed? People argue that the Bible contradicts itself. I ask if they have read it, because nearly everyone who says that, hasn’t read it at all, so they don’t know what they are talking about. Some people have read it, and I have looked at the skeptic’s website and every ‘controversy’ he brought up was taken out of context or misinterpreted.
Two question test. 1. Do you believe you are going to Heaven? 2. Why do you believe this?
Scripture verses about why the following reasons will not get you to Heaven.
I’ve tried to keep the 10 commandments. James 2:10, Gal 3:10, Gal 2:16, Rom 3:20
I go to church. Tit 3:5, Eph 2:8,9
I believe in God. Matt 8:29, James 2:19,Ttit 1:16, 1 Jn 2:4
I’m basically a good person Rom 3:12, Rom 7:18, Eph 2:2,3
I’ve done the best I could. Matt 5:48, Job 9:20, Prov 20:6,9
I’ve never hurt anyone. Prov 12:10, Rom 3:13-17, Matt 5:21,22
Be careful to say it in a light manner, not a condemning way, making the listener feel belittled.
If they already go to church, encourage them to get filled with the Holy Spirit and get more involved in the church. Don’t worry if you don’t agree 100% with all that churches’ doctrines. Don’t be guilty of proselytizing or being divisive. If they go to a dead church, he says not to carelessly dismiss the church ( I am guilty of this one. I just tell the truth, if they want to grow, even if it hurts – and growth does hurt, they need to move) Don’t let someone stay in a church where they will die spiritually because you are afraid of offending traditions.
If someone doesn’t want to know the truth or listen to you, that’s their decision. Ask if they would like to keep a tract explaining the way of life and honour their decision. You can still pray for them.
If they say they don’t believe the Bible, ask if there is a reason for that. Usually it is because they believe it says something that it does not say. I won’t spend time on this one, I just keep talking as if they do, because their spirit knows it’s the truth and the Holy Spirit can work on truth. Most people who say they don’t believe in the Bible or in God really do but they don’t want to confront it. This is not an intellectual argument. God will touch their spirit if you tell them the truth.
This guy encourages you to use people’s names a lot. It’s a proven sales technique that people like the sound of their own name and respond better, but I don’t like that technique, because it never comes across as natural. People feel that they are being sales-talked and you will lose them. When people use my name at the start of every sentence, I feel like I am being talked down to. You don’t have to assume a new character to witness, just be yourself. If you wear a suit and slick your hair back to go witnessing, the people you meet get the impression that God is not interested in ordinary people and if they do give their life to the Lord, that God will take away their individuality, and require them to become something they are not and don’t want to be. God loves people who wear jeans and people who don’t see the need to bathe or clean their teeth. Well, still have a shower and clean your teeth, no need to offend people before you start, but don’t try to be something that you are not and don’t require them to change these things, God will work on them. They change with self-esteem. But if you are on the street, doing your shopping and the wind musses your hair, you can still share the gospel with someone on the bus.
OK, this guy writing the book is saying to ask for commitment after sharing the gospel. Most of the time, your testimony is also needed. The other thing that I would do differently than him is that every objection someone brought up, he showed them a Bible verse to disprove it. I would tell them what the Bible said, because if you shove it in their face every time they speak, they feel you are trying to sell them something or you are treating them like a child. If they say they don’t believe it says that or show me, I will then show them. They will take your word for it that it does say that.
People need to be prepared to tell God that they are sorry for their sins and invite Him to live inside them, asking Jesus to be Lord and Saviour. If they don’t want to turn from their sins and live a life for God, don’t ask them to pray. They must come to God on His terms. People who accept Jesus as saviour and not Lord, do not last long, they go back to the world and it is harder to bring them to Christ later on. People must count the cost and be prepared to commit otherwise failure is imminent. If they are interested, but don’t want to commit, invite them to church or a Bible study so they can learn more, or ask if you can pray with them, then pray that God will show them the truth and bring them to a place where they will stand holy before Him on that day. Don’t try to make it easy for them. It’s a life of sacrifice and they will get persecuted. He is Lord of all, or not Lord at all. Don’t try to talk them into it. It has to come from their heart, not because you coerced them.
He spends a chapter on what the cults believe. This is an American book and most of those cults are not in Australia or don’t exist anymore or it’s just that I haven’t heard of them. I have written about what the Mormons believe earlier in this diary so will only mention the Jehovah’s Witnesses because these are the two main ones which claim to be Christian and are not, and they evangelise from door to door.
Beliefs of Jehovah’s Witnesses
The Father of Jesus, Jehovah, is the only true God.
Jesus is God's Son, but not God the Almighty.
The holy spirit is God's impersonal, "active force", always subject to his will.
Jesus is God's firstborn Son; he has divine nature but he is not equal to God. Jesus was the "angel of Jehovah" in Exodus 23:20-22, archangel Michael, the Word, or Logos, as well as Apollyon/Abaddon, mentioned in Revelation 9:11.
Jesus was nailed to a torture stake. The religious significance given to the instrument of Jesus' execution and torture is a heathen heritage.
Jesus' fleshly body was not resurrected; he was resurrected as a spirit.
The presence of Christ began invisibly in 1914, and has been ongoing since then.
The soul is the person himself, composed of the "dust of the ground" plus the "breath of life"; the dead exist only in God's memory, their future lies in the resurrection," either to immortality in heaven, or to everlasting life on earth :only 144,000 Christians are bestowed immortality in heaven.
There is no spiritual afterlife immediately following death, except for the 144,000, who are immediately resurrected as spirit persons and taken to heaven; those who died before 1918 were not resurrected to heaven until that year. There is no purgatory.
There is no literal torment. Those who have committed an unforgivable sin (such as Judas) experience 'Gehenna' (eternal destruction or extinction) at death.
Those who are resurrected will be judged on the basis of the works done after their resurrection.
The original and unchangeable purpose of God for mankind is to live forever on a paradise earth. Only 144,000 Christians are born again and become priests and kings in heaven with Christ, in order to contribute to the fulfilment of God's purpose about earth. With the exception of those in Gehenna (judgment of annihilation), all who have died (both righteous and unrighteous) will be resurrected with the potential to live forever on a paradise earth.
Jesus said his followers would not fight because his kingdom is "no part of this world". Christians must be neutral in political and military strifes. Satan is the "ruler of the world."
You can look on the net for testimonies of people who have left these cults to find out an inside story or ideas on what to say to people thinking of joining. I don’t engage in these conversations, I only tell people the truth and God can work the rest out. If I had a relative in a cult, I would find out what I could about it so I could debate.
Ministering to Catholics. Catholics are good because they have sound basic doctrines and want to serve God. Their problems are the extra doctrines that the Pope unscripturally tacked on the end and the fact that Catholics are taught that they are saved because they were baptized into that church, so they are not taught salvation by grace or about having a relationship with Jesus and the teachings of the church are not big on living a sanctified life either. Unscriptural doctrines include the one about the pope being Jesus incarnate, the authority of the pope to change the scriptures by way of ex cathedra, the worship and exaltation of Mary, the immaculate conception of Mary, worship of images, praying to the saints, the structure of the building is old testament design, the belief that the bread changes into Jesus’ actual body and is then broken on an altar (the ramifications of that one scares me), the idea that prayers are penance or that penance is taught at all, purgatory, the idea that rote prayers eg saying the rosary has any benefit at all, talismans and medallions that ‘protect’, the idea that a ritual over you on your death bed will expedite you towards heaven, their doctrines on what sins are unforgivable, prayer for the dead, the idea that celibacy, asceticism, scheduled fasting and monasticism result in a measure of holiness, the idea that objects become holy when the priest prays over them and the acceptance of the apocrypha. The pope condoned the Charismatic movement in a one line paragraph at the bottom of a page in the Catholic weekly because there were so many of them in the church.
It should be regarded as a problem if you go to a church where they do not want you to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Back to the notes on this book…..He says don’t worry if they want to go to a Catholic church after you get them born again. (I disagree). He says be patient and don’t worry about non-essential doctrines, but love them and that stuff will drop off. I say give people the truth and let God deal with them. Want to know why there’s so many lukewarm Christians around? Because people are afraid of offending them with the truth. If someone earnestly wants to seek God, to the point of being prepared to be taught the truth and agreeing to let go of anything God doesn’t like including long-held traditions, they won’t stay in the Catholic church for long anyway.
Witnessing to Jews. We should be grateful and zealous in reaching out to the Jews with the love of Jesus. Develop a friendship first. Don’t be afraid to invite them to church, your home or fellowship group. Use Old Testament scriptures as often as possible, referring to them as the Hebrew Scriptures. Don’t criticize Jewish leaders, even if the person you are talking to does. Read anything you give them first. They feel like a traitor if they become a Christian, so be sensitive if this occurs.
I had a problem with a Jewish friend, because in Israel, they are only taught about the first five books of the Old Testament and are told that they are only historical records. I asked her if she prays and she said she did and I asked her what she called God and she said ‘Elohim” I said you can’t call Him that because the structure is multi-plural. She said she knew that but it was a mistake. Wow, a mistake, they are so afraid to take His name on their lips that the Bible doesn’t mention it, replacing “YHWH” with LORD all through, and she says that it was a mistake. I didn’t say this to her because she was already embarrassed by the admission and her inability to defend it. Anyway, if you need more information, there’s a Messianic Jewish group (Christian Jews) www.celebratemessiah.com.au . who will show you how to lead a Jew to the Lord.
We need to speak the truth accurately and be sensitive in the way we deliver our message.
He says to pray before you witness. That should have been the first point. We used to go street witnessing and the team usually led about 4-8 people to the Lord on a weekend, then we started having a one hour prayer meeting before we went out and we led 50-60 people to the Lord in a weekend. You can’t do it without God. You shouldn’t endeavour to start any ministry without praying and seeking God’s face. You shouldn’t get up to preach or teach Sunday School unless you have prayed for at least three hours before hand. A quick prayer along the lines of “Sorry I haven’t had time to pray, but please anoint this, otherwise we will both look bad” on the way to the podium is not acceptable. God will not anoint that. If you want God’s presence to go with you, you have to seek it first. How will you be able to demonstrate God’s power if it is not with you?
He talked about door-to-door witnessing. I have done it and it’s hard because of cults that have muddies the waters. Also, you are on their territory, so they are more defensive and these days, it is not so safe to go into someone’s house if you don’t know them and they are afraid of letting anyone into their house. But if you feel the Lord is sending you, there are a few pointers, try to go as a team of a man and a woman, dress neat and clean, be polite, carry a small Bible, let the host sit first, so you don’t take their favourite chair, listen to people, thank them for their time and leave on a positive note. He likes the questionnaire approach, but that’s getting a bit dry now because any sales person uses this approach and people are getting more defensive about telling anyone anything about themselves. This book is 27 years old. He talks a lot about how to deal with people in cults, but the big one now is new age, which wasn’t around then. New age is hard to deal with because people don’t realise it’s a religion and they don’t believe they are dealing with spiritual forces and they are trying to be politically and socially correct so they want to be ‘open-minded’ and just accept everyone. New age is perfect for all that. Plus, it’s trendy and people regard it as healthy. New age is sugar-coated Hindu.
Don’t sweat if the conversation is short. It is enough to ask if they are going to Heaven because it will play on their mind. (The Holy Spirit will convict them)
If people don’t want to talk, they may accept a tract.
Don’t talk down to people, they are equal. Don’t try to solve all their problems, you can’t but Jesus can but it will probably take time. Don’t assume everyone you meet is not already a Christian. Accept ‘no’ if it is said. Don’t muddy the fishing hole for other people.
Get permission to tell them about God. If they agree to talk, it ensures they will listen, and you will be free to guide the conversation.
Keep stressing the positive, this creates a hunger for more and ensures he will stay to listen. Stress assurance of salvation. Also stress fellowship, love, forgiveness, help in times of trouble, adoption into the Christian family, new perspective on life, freedom from fear.
Discover what he trusts in if it isn’t Jesus. Show from scripture how it won’t work, present gospel.
Don’t try to be someone you’re not, act natural. Don’t give negative responses to details of their life. Don’t approve of things they do that are clearly sin (don’t compromise) and avoid arguments. Don’t feel threatened by their questions, if you don’t know the answer, say so and try to find out for them. Don’t allow the conversation to veer off the message of salvation.
If they talked to you and didn’t want to commit, ask if you can contact them again and if they committed, guide them into a church where they will be looked after and can grow in truth. (hopefully your church)
They should be discipled. They need to be taught basic doctrines, which are: that the Bible is the word of God, the trinity, about Jesus, the virgin birth, repentance and sanctification, salvation, the blood, that Christ indwells all believers, the resurrection, heaven and hell, water baptism, communion, the second coming, healing the sick and baptism of the Holy Spirit including speaking in tongues and why we worship the way we do.

Hey Lord, I got into trouble again. I drew a picture of You with a small man in Your hand and You are looking him in they eye and You have a huge grin on Your face. When I first drew it, I drew a smile and You told me that the smile is bigger. I put a crown on Your head. The man is touching Your face. You look ecstatic. (You are)
People are so conditioned that You look like an English rose with sparkly blue eyes and a beard. Blue eyes can be a problem when all you are using is a black texta. I’m not making an excuse, if I used colours, I probably would have given You brown eyes anyway. It’s just that it’s amazing that people still want You to have blue eyes in a black and white drawing. The fact of the matter is that every man is made in Your image and whenever I’ve seen Your face in a vision, it has always been non-descript. I could have drawn You to look like anyone, any nationality. Jesus was born in the Middle East, so statistically, He probably didn’t have blue eyes and ivory skin. What He looked like is totally irrelevant. It’s not how you look, it’s what you are. When Gideon asked what Your name was, You said, “Why do you ask, since it is beyond understanding”
I suppose that it is admirable that we want to possess You and want You to look like us Caucasians, but it is prejudice and an attitude that needs to be dealt with if people get offended if they see an image of You looking like anything else.
Binksy was funny at church. I was telling my friend about the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and I said that she would cry when the lion dies, and Binksy said “Don’t tell her what happens in the end”
I read something funny in the Reader’s Digest, I forget who said it, “I dream of a free world in the future where chickens won’t have to give account for why they want to cross the road.”
My princessy made up a joke when she was 10: Why didn’t the chicken cross the road? Because it was chicken.

Hey Lord, I read in the Reader’s Digest that one of the main causes for sciatica is lax glutamus muscles. In today’s paper, Jenny is talking about all the benefits of exercise (30 mins a day) Decrease blood pressure, cholesterol and weight, decrease depression, diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis and cancer, increase immunity, concentration and sex drive, improve energy, self esteem and muscle tone. Keep us looking and feeling young. The heading is “Exercise the best pill of all”. Well I know that she knows that the gos-pill is the best pill of all, so she was just talking about for the physical body.
Well, now we will all make a new resolution to start an exercise program, have a cup of coffee and get over the impulse.
A Message by George Carlin:The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness. We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom. We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things. We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less. These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when the technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete... Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.Remember, to say, "I love you" to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. Some of you may be wondering what Judge Roy Moore has been doing since he was removed from the bench for refusing to remove the Ten Commandments from his courtroom wall. Please read the poem he wrote It's below his picture.
The following is a poem written by Judge Roy Moore from Alabama . Judge Moore was sued by the ACLU for displaying the Ten Commandments in his courtroom foyer. He has been stripped of his judgeship and now they are trying to strip his right to practice law in Alabama ! The judge's poem sums it up quite well.
America the beautiful,or so you used to be.Land of the Pilgrims' pride;I'm glad they'll never see.Babies piled in dumpsters,Abortion on demand,Oh, sweet land of liberty;your house is on the sand. Our children wander aimlesslypoisoned by cocainechoosing to indulge their lusts, when God has said abstainFrom sea to shining sea,our Nation turns awayFrom the teaching of God's loveand a need to always prayWe've kept God in ourtemples, how callous we have grown. When earth is but His footstool, and Heaven is His throne. We've voted in a governmentthat's rotting at the core,Appointing Godless Judges;who throw reason out the door,Too soft to place a killerin a well deserved tomb,But brave enough to kill a babybefore he leaves the womb. You think that God's notangry, that our land's a moral slum? How much longer will He waitbefore His judgment comes? How are we to face our God,from Whom we cannot hide? What then is left for us to do,but stem this evil tide?If we who are His children, will humbly turn and pray;Seek His holy faceand mend our evil way:Then God will hear from Heaven;and forgive us of our sins,He'll heal our sickly landand those who live within. But, America the Beautiful,If you don't - then you will see,A sad but Holy Godwithdraw His hand from Thee.~~Judge Roy Moore~~

Hey Lord, prophecies.
Other people are the plants in your garden and God causes it to grow as you nurture it and the fruit will show in their lives, not your life.
When the Holy Spirit overflows you, that the power of God is released in your life, and nothing can stop it. God breaks boundaries.
The Holy Spirit is already in you.
Doesn’t matter how it looks on the outside, because God is working on the inside and everything is OK. The frayed edges on your life is not “the you”. What you are in Christ is what you are and you will shine like the stars in the heavens.
Sometimes we have a rough ride because the road is rough, and we get shaken and God strengthens us and the joy of the Lord is our strength.
Remember to put on the garment of praise and daily acknowledge God.
Don’t look to man to solve your problems. Look to God. God will speak through people, but you need to learn the difference between the voice of man and the voice of God spoken through man. God will never contradict the scriptures. The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. God is focus and pivotal point in your life.
God transformed us on the inside when we gave our lives to the Lord. We become a new creature.
The favour of the Lord rests on you.
This Pete preaching.
Are you going to do something large and influential in your city? Are you here to win souls etc? Start with a personal relationship with Christ. We have a destiny, purpose. We need to let our character be developed. Live a life of integrity, good levels. It’s easy to live a low, easy life. If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything. Because it takes intestinal fortitude to stand. Lucifer fell from grace. Other things that fell in the Bible, Sodom, the whole of creation in the flood. It’s never easy to take a courageous stand. Go with majority keeps you popular and comfortable and profits you. It takes courage to lay hands on someone or lead someone to the Lord, or tithe.
Gal 5:22. Fruits of Spirit. We need faith and we need a fire in our belly and we need Christ. It’s not all roses. Narrow is the way and few there are that find it, but wide is the way to destruction. Start at v 13, we are called to liberty, but this is not an opportunity for the flesh. We must love and serve each other, but if we bite and devour one another, beware. Walk in the Spirit, so we do not fulfil the lusts of the flesh. We are lead by the Spirit, so are not under law. Not inherit the kingdom of Heaven if we indulge in fleshly activities.
Have you felt like giving up, sometimes? (Longsuffering) We like to skip over this one. We grow in the traumas. 2 Peter 3 God is longsuffering towards people. God cuts us a lot of grace, because He wants us in.
Job did not sin by charging God with wrong when the bad things happened to him. How many times do we react and blame God? We must learn to trust God. Surrender your life to Him. We need to assess, trust and learn from. We are not wrapped up in fairy floss. We are special in God’s sight, but not in anything of ourselves. We are not immune to heart ache or pain. God touches and makes whole. He deals with our offences, and our self-esteem and our hurts. We can’t tell God how to shape us. The way you look and the way you are is how God shaped you. (In His image)
We look to blame others, instead of seeking God’s face. As soon as you shut down hearing from God in this area, it’s all over. Don’t shut your communication down with God. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. If you think God is far away, guess who’s moved? God never leaves you.
Ps 18:2,6. The Lord, my rock, my deliver in whom I trust. Trains my hands to war.
What comes out under pressure? That’s who you are, that’s what’s inside you.
When you are squeezed, does the essence of Christ come out? We are all a work in progress.
People listen to what you do, not what you say.
Keep the relationship strong. People stop coming to church or isolate themselves when there is a problem. That’s playing into the enemy’s hands. When someone stops coming to church, it didn’t start that day, it’s been festering.
Prayer. Phil 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, let requests known, peace passes understanding will guard your heart and mind.
Spend time in word of God. Bible becomes written on your heart. A scripture comes to you in a time of need. Word of God is quick and powerful. Brings faith, power, courage.
Stay focused on God. Not the problem. God is bigger than the problem.
Learn from the problem. If you don’t, you will go around the mountain and go through it all again. Learn from other people’s mistakes. And you become a bigger person.
A problem is an opportunity. Look at Joseph. Problems improve our integrity. Problems expose the integrity of your heart. They expose our fruit. Problems produce a dependence on God.
Pete again.
Luke 6:46 Why do you call me “Lord” and do not do what I say? Would you get up in the middle of the night to watch the football? Would you get up in the middle of the night to pray? Do you practice football? Do you practice the presence of the presence of God? Is it a tragedy if you lose or break your football? Is it a tragedy if you miss your time with God, or lose your Bible? Do you like to hang around your friends who talk about football, do you like to hang around your friends who like to talk about God? We get caught up with whatever we think is most important, and we become like it. Why do we say God is important and not pursue Him? This verse is critical to Christian living.
V 47 show you what it is like if you don’t put into practice, - like a man who builds house without foundation. (Jesus is the foundation)
Ps 150:6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Do we rise up to our calling? Do we pursue something else that will somehow profit us. Jesus came to do the will of the Father. What can you do for God? Are you excited about what God wants you to do tomorrow? You can change your world. It is most important to change it in the right way. What do you spend your time doing? Joel 3:14 – there are many in the valley of decision. It’s a big thing to actually make a decision, because it causes a turning point in your life. It will be tested and challenged, if it is a big decision. Daniel decided to pray every day at certain times and he was tested. How tightly do you hold on to your values? What’s if something drastic happened, like someone died or you lost a leg, what do you hold onto? What is important to you? Three things that bring back from the brink of an irrelevant Christianity. 1. Journaling. – what you pray and think about and how you feel. 2. Pray – spend time talking to God. Thank God. 3. Spend time alone. Pursue the discipline. Train to become what you want to be, what you adore, what you worship. Look at what and who you are now, what are you good at – being sarcastic? Being critical? Do you value that? Do you think about what you are saying? Do you value saying nice things to people? Do people want to be around you? If people are being closed towards you or sarcastic to you, maybe you are not a nice person. If you value cars, you will have a nice car and look after it. Take time to reflect on what you are and what your goals are.

God wears clothes, He is clothed in majesty, honour, strength, beauty. Rev 1 He took on a human body. Now He is clothed in a resurrected body. God clothed man. We are an inspiration to angels, they envy us, because of the great things that God has called us to do. Who dares wins. (SAS motto) We are inspired even by a uniform because it represents something. A logo represents something.
What does God want us to clothe ourselves in? God wants us to do things that we won’t get recognized for, to do exploits and we need to clothe ourselves for the work. We need to clothe ourselves daily. If we clothe ourselves with the things God desires, it will change our future.
Adam and Eve were clothed with the glory of God. God clothed them with the skin of an animal. The blood covered their sin. The skin covered their shame.
You can’t just choose what you want to cover yourself with, when you come to God. Cain’s sacrifice was not acceptable.
Col 3:14: Over all these things, put on love.
Eph 6:13: Full armour of God, stand your ground, Breastplate of righteousness, belt of truth, feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, sword of the Spirit (word of God.)
Helmet guards mind. Your mind can play tricks on you. Pronounce salvation over yourself. If you want to be an overcomer, you have to find the treasures of the scriptures. Breastplate is defense. A place of longing for righteousness. A place where you feel very connected to God. You could break into song at any time. Hold your relationship with God close to you, otherwise you get offended easily and it eats away in you.
Belt of truth: in Roman times, belt held up their skirt. Belt holds sword. Not just knowing right and wrong, but accepting right and wrong, and being able to repel lies. It is critically important to how you see yourself. If you want to retain your primary weapon in life, you must learn to reject lies. Truth sets you free.
Shoes of gospel: allows you to get closer, but is not the weapon. You must walk in good news. If you get rejected because you told good news, don’t accept the rejection, it’s a lie. You have good news. Tomorrow is not something to fear, you go with the confidence of the good news.
Shield of faith. Makes redundant the arrows of the enemy. Defense mechanism, because it responds to a word or situation.
Sword for attacking, rendering useless, destroying. You are meant to cut down certain things in your world. Penetrates to core. Speak with words that have force and power. He says fruit of Spirit are manifestations of sword. Bible says word of God is sword of Spirit.
We put on clothing that is not from God, for our own security and we put on things that are hidden. Emotional hurts, baggage, words that are daggers we hold onto. We are naked before God.
Outer garments, confidence, pride, natural gifts and talents.
Salvation and righteousness, (robe – Revelations.)
We are hard pressed, but not crushed, etc.
You alone have choices in what you clothe yourself with daily. Rev 3:4,5 People of Sardis walked in white robes, not soiled.
Tony
Col 3:1-3 you have been raised with Christ, so set your minds on things above.
Colossians were religious, but the Christianity was layered with other modern thinking. Focus on setting your hearts on the things that are above. (forward direction, not focusing on past)
Ps 37:4 delight yourself in the Lord and He will give desires of your heart. What you desire is what you will get. Choose carefully what you will desire. Prov 3:5-7 (He’s showing his age now, he’s talking about David Meece) Trust in the Lord ….. make your paths straight. Our heart is connected to our footsteps. Straight roads don’t weave around the mountain, it goes through the valleys and over the mountains. Greatness is about going through difficult times and achieving mountain tops. World weaves and misses valleys and mountain tops. Matt 12:34 out of overflow of heart, the mouth speaks. Speech is mirror to soul and heart. Listen to what you say, reflect on what you say. Listen to what other people are saying, so you can know their heart. Your words have power. So what words would you like to speak? You need to be renewed in heart first. Eternity is in our hearts, so words need to be life. Isa 26:3 Keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast in You. James talks about double-minded man who can’t make up his mind. An out of control fire is a powerful thing, so you will have mayhem. Tongue sets the course of who you are and where you are going. Perfect peace is uninterrupted peace – doesn’t depend on circumstances.
Acts 4:32 All believers one in heart and mind. Mind is connected with purposes that you surround yourself with. Unity is powerful thing. Decision to unity, not division. We still need correction. Rom 12:2 Do not conform, be transformed by renewing of mind. Allow yourself to be transformed. As our minds are renewed, we get the ability to test and approve what is right and wrong. We died and are hidden in Christ. To die: ceased to live, expired, lost vital force, ceased to function, breakdown. Our sinful nature has ceased to live.

Hey Lord, Jenny wrote in the paper about macular degeneration. She said it doesn’t happen in primitive cultures because they do lots of exercise. It’s amazing what doing exercise does for the whole body, lots of stuff you wouldn’t expect. I need a fitness fanatic friend, because I’m too slack in this.
I got this A Few Good Men brochure again. There’s a story about a boy who brought a make yourself car at home and everyone else’s dad helped them, but his dad didn’t want to, so the mum had to help him. Then at the race of the cars, everyone else had their dad or granddad or someone and he only had his mum. The other cars all looked sleek in design and paintwork and his was wonky and he got into the finals and he asked for time to pray. He ended up winning with his Father inside him, but he hadn’t prayed to win. He said that it would have been unfair. He asked for strength to face the outcome (to not cry at the end). We spend too much time praying for an easy life, for someone else to lose so we can win or to remove the struggle from our lives.
Jim talked about how men want everything to be right and get so disillusioned when they fail at anything. Everyone makes mistakes and sometimes the consequences are devastating. Instead of expecting perfection, do your best.
Then he told a story about everyone arriving at church and there was a raggedy hobo lying on the steps and everyone looked and whispered and walked past. Then when the service started the hobo came into the church and walked up to the front and took off his hat and coat and it was their preacher! Then they sang a song “If I can help somebody as I pass along. If I can cheer somebody with a word or song. If I can show somebody that he’s traveling wrong, then my living shall not be in vain.”
And he’s got this story about what real men are, and how TV portrays men to be selfish and childish like Ted Bundy who started as a joke and is now the norm. Boys grow up seeing that men are people who chase women, get drunk and are self-centered. They behave like five-year olds throwing temper tantrums when they don’t get their own way. He talks about how real love doesn’t act like that and Paul talks about how when we were children we reasoned and acted like children, but when we grow up, we put away childish things. 1 Cor 13 gets a big mention about how character should be formed in a mature person. It takes commitment to Christ to become a man and take responsibility for home, church and work. People can see if you are a boy or a man, people show their character.
And there was a testimony from a guy who gave his life to the Lord, then went to missionary work, then when he came back, some rotten things happened, his father and his son died then he re-evaluated his life and his priorities. (After that, his wife died also) But the point is that we all take life for granted until we get smacked in the face by it and sometimes the damage from the things we could have done differently are not repairable.

Hey Lord, I read this book: Miracles from the Dust by John Mellor and he’s a COC pastor and just prays and fasts and the miracles just flow – you know the score – cancer, cripples, blind etc, etc, etc. He had lots of very hard times too, persecution and his wife left him and his second marriage was a disaster also. Anyone with a big calling goes through very hard times, not because the devil has so much power but because, well, yes, he is annoyed, but You use him to refine and grow us. Thanks for that.

Hey Lord, do You know you can give a Bible to a Muslim-background believer by sending money to Open Doors Australia P O Box 53, Seaforth NSW 2092. www.opendoors.org.au Well, Lord, Your word is so exciting.
Bob Gass (the Word For Today magazine, co-authored by Debby) is talking about teaching our children Your word. Deut 11:19:21. He talks about the importance of keeping our own lives scriptural, with You as the head, and when we cross over the distinct roles that You have given us, it is confusing for the children. We must also set a good example in our own lives, what we watch on TV and let our kids watch, and movies and music.
Now he’s talking about Pr 18:16 about a man’s gift making a way for him, I only saw this as a physical gift (a present), but he’s talking about our talents and getting noticed and being able to use our gifts for You. Stephen King says that talented people are separated from the successful ones by a lot of hard work. Follow Nehemiah’s footsteps – he built the wall in under two months. He applied himself to the task and kept his life honorable. Jos 1:5 – God will never forsake us. We need to take the first step of faith – God gave Joshua every place his foot trod on. We have to trust God regardless. In “High Maintenance Relationships”, Les Parrott talks about the types of people who will oppose you: Critics who constantly complain or give unwanted advice. Martyrs who are forever the victim and wracked with self-pity, wet blankets who are pessimistic and habitually negative, steamrollers who are blindly insensitive to others, gossips who spread rumours and leak secrets, control freaks who are unable to let go and let things be, back-stabbers who are two-faced, green-eyed monsters who seethe with envy, volcanoes who build steam and are always ready to erupt, sponges who are always needy and never give anything back and competitors who always keep track of tit-for-tat.
Successful people are passionate. What do you pray about, cry about? Dream about? What will you risk everything for? That is the well from which you draw your strength and nothing feels too big or too small.
You need to get ready, to know where you are going and keep your spiritual values, otherwise you are a slave to your surroundings.
Hey, look at that, Lord, you can get people to pray for you. PrayForMe.com.au
God gave His laws to govern, guide and guard us, because He wants us to be successful. Your character is more important than your career.
Now he’s talking about divine protection (Ps 91:14), he told a story about how all the choir members were late for different reasons, though they were all usually punctual. There was a gas leak and an explosion right under where the empty choir seats were. I don’t get upset anymore when my plans are squiffed. I am used to God intervening in my situations and even though it stuffs up my plans, it always turns out for the better.
Lord, do You know you can listen to vision radio anywhere in the world? www.vision.org.au
‘sincere’ comes from a Latin word meaning ‘without wax’, originally Greek word meaning ‘sun-tested’ because porcelain would sometimes show tiny cracks after firing and wax would cover it, (except under the light of the sun) so honest merchants marked their wares sine cera – without wax. No sham, no hypocrisy, no hidden cracks to be covered over. We can live this way by keeping our eyes on Christ, not other Christians. Whatever we do, it is because Christ’s love controls us. 2 Cor 5:14 (Living Bible)
Jesus had what society called an illegitimate birth, he was born into a hated minority who experienced brutal oppression, the religious leaders branded Him a heretic, the state called Him an insurrectionist too dangerous to live, his was betrayed by his friend, sentenced without a fair trial and died like a common criminal and his response was ‘be of good cheer; I have overcome the world’ (Jn 16:33) We spend too much time crying over spilt milk, stop wasting your energy on things that cannot be changed. The past is over. Look forward. Press on! God’s plans for us are good. (Jer 29:11)
Don’t despise being alone. We need to be alone with God, Jesus often withdrew to be alone and everyone else had experiences with God when they were alone, Jacob wrestled with God, Moses went up the mountain alone, Daniel had visions, Elijah stood and watched God pass by and Jeremiah wrote “I sat alone because Your hand was on me. Jer 15:17.
Don’t run away from trials, God knows where to find you! You have to learn the lessons. Paul said it was to keep from becoming conceited (2 Cor 12:7) and that Christ’s power may rest on me (2 Cor 12:9)
Now he’s talking about the need to die to self every day and the further you want to go in ministry, the more of a servant you need to be, and God will let you keep an impediment because it keeps you reliant in Him.
Now, he’s talking about how friends betray us and God lets people into our lives who will hurt us (eg Judas) (Jn 13:18) God gives us grace to re-evaluate the situation and realize that God is in control, and will allow your Judas to go so far and no further. He governs how much damage others can do to you, so that lessens the fear of getting involved again once you’ve been burnt. Ps 119:71 – it was good for me to be afflicted, so that I might learn Your decrees. NIV
Now he’s talking about running from temptations (2 Tim 2:22), when you see a situation where you know you are weak, don’t stick around to see how strong you are, don’t try to counsel or convert, don’t give in just once. Be aware of your danger and run. (Jas 1:13-15) God is your safe refuge, where your enemies can’t reach you. (Ps 61:3)
Talented people can become know-alls and stop growing because they become unteachable. We need a hunger to grow, to learn, willingness to unlearn and relearn.
When Paul was incarcerated and expecting execution, he asked Timothy to bring writing paper because he had something to say and his books because he had stuff to learn. (2 Tim 4:13) Learning is not a stage of life, it’s a way of life, otherwise we stop growing.
David was tested in three places:
At home (Bethlehem), he learned responsibility, service to family, developed his relationship with God, overcome resentment because of God’s favour on his life.
Cave of Adullam, self service to misfits and rejects even when his own life was under attack, a place where our kingdom dies and God’s kingdom is showcased through us. God deals with self-seeking, self-serving motives in our hearts. Some people never make it out of this cave.
Mt. Hermon (means ‘covenant’) – it was the highest mountain in Israel and has no easy roads to the top. Loyalty regardless of circumstances, truthfulness regardless of cost, forgiveness regardless of pain.
Sometimes, we develop a ‘sense of entitlement’ when people give us lots of things because we serve God, but sometimes, people order things they can’t afford and leave others holding the bag. They say it’s a step of faith, but Christians get a bad name from this. Christians should be known for paying their bills on time. Rom 13:7
Without restraint, our life is like a car without brakes. Whatever we choose to obey is our master. Life on earth is really nothing more than a string of moments, one after another. And I do not want my testimony for Jesus Christ to be shattered by a single moment of indulging my flesh. I don’t want one moment of rage or pride or lust to cast a shadow over a lifetime of walking with my Lord. Frankly, I fear that possibility. And do you know what? I want to fear that possibility. When I stop fearing it, I’m in grave danger.
Do You know, Lord, that you can read a daily devotional via email from www.thewordfortoday.com.au. And they have one specially for 15-25 yr olds: www.word4u2day.com.au. It is better to have self-control than conquer a city Pr 16:32. What we do on some great occasion depends on what we already are, and what we are is the result of previous years of self-discipline.
Phil 1:6 Being confident that Jesus will carry the good work He started in us to completion.
A professor wrote to 250 philosophers, scientists, writers and intellectuals asking the what the meaning of life was. Some had a guess, some made something up, some said they had no idea and some asked him to tell them if he found out. The answer is in the Bible.
Keep your integrity. If you are shallow, the real you will shine through. The integrity of the upright guides them. Pr 11:3
God’s patience is amazing! He even gave Jezebel time to repent and when her wicked husband Ahab repented, God healed and restored him. Jas 4:10 says to humble yourself in God’s sight. Don’t wait for Him to do it. God’s correction is not rejection, so don’t lose heart when He rejects you.
We rarely discern others accurately. Our conclusions are flawed and based on limited knowledge. Someone close to you has a great future – God has already determined it. If you knew their potential, you would withhold your words of criticism and invest more time and energy into them. Remember Joseph? The person who aggravates the living daylights out of you today, could be the one you turn to for help tomorrow. Keep that in mind and treat them graciously. Look at Ruth – a gleaner in the field one day and the boss’ wife the next and Mary looking for a place to stay and Paul persecuting the church who still brings multitudes into the church. Lk 1:39 – blessed is she who believed that the Lord’s word would be accomplished. Don’t let your past paralyze you. God is greater than any situation. One of the biggest mistakes we make is to compare ourselves with other people and since we don’t have their talents, we ‘just don’t have what it takes’. God said to Moses – What is that in your hand.
Then there’s the joke about two nuns who ran out of petrol near a petrol station, and they didn’t have a petrol decanter, so they used a bed pan they had in the car. Two guys drove past and commented on their faith and were amazed when the nuns sped past them a couple of minutes later!
Intimacy with God doesn’t take place overnight. Phil 3:10 Paul said that his determined purpose is to know Him (Amplified Bible: become progressively and more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly) Do we pursue God like that? Or when we worship, is our brain elsewhere? Or are we so critical, we sound like an unbeliever?
We become more selfish and susceptible to temptation when we look at the world instead of at God’s Word. 2 Sam 22:2,3
Did God give you a dream? Eph 3:20 – He can do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.
Lessons from Joseph: That when God wants you in a palace, nobody can keep you in a pit, that your future is not in the hands of others, it’s in the hands of God and that your assignment doesn’t require the cooperation of everyone else, but it doesn’t require the cooperation of you. Instead of blaming others, see the hand of God in every situation.
Sometimes God says no. Sometimes we are not ready. The prodigal son said “I will arise and go to my father and say ‘I have sinned.’ ” Lk 15:18. Everyone falls. Falling doesn’t make you a loser, it makes you a contestant.
We need to ask God His plan and then do it, and He will enable us as we move out. We need to stop compartmentalizing our lives and giving God some when we feel like it, but remember that the Holy Spirit is with us all the time, not coming and going at our beck and call. Moving with God doesn’t mean a meandering stroll, it means to stay in step and catch the beat of the Holy Spirit, to act when He acts, to pause when He pauses. His timing is perfect.
Well, I didn’t know that, Lord, when the Titanic sank, there was a ship within 15k of it, not realizing that the flashing lights were a distress signal and not receiving the calls for help on the radio, because their radio operator was fast asleep. (Are we angry with the radio operator? Do we pray for and witness to our friends who we are watching on their merry way to hell?)
Trusting God doesn’t mean blowing your budget then trusting God for your finances, or trusting Him for your health then living a nocturnal life, subsisting on chips and fizz. Trusting God for a job, doesn’t mean sitting back. That’s presumption, not taking responsibility. We should make plans, counting on God to direct us. Pr 16:9 (TLB)
Don’t get agitated over every little thing. There is nothing you can do about those things, so let go and keep your joy. When you put as much energy into letting go as you do into steaming, you will find God’s peace.
If you want help overcoming a problem, pray the word, because God watches over it to perform it. (Jer 1:12) Stand on the word and thank God for the victory in the situation. If you can’t control your spending, perform plastic surgery – cut up your credit cards. Give more – this helps conquer greed. Expect disapproval. Decide how you will handle it. If you only do things nobody finds fault with, you’ll never accomplish anything.
At Calvary, Jesus stood between God’s anger and the punishment for our sins. Having lived the life we couldn’t live, then taking the punishment we couldn’t escape, He freely offers us redemption we couldn’t afford. Now the question is: If He so loved us, can we not love each other? Having been forgiven, can we not forgive? Having feasted at the table of mercy, can we not share a few crumbs?
Jesus told his captors that He only had to call on His Father and He would have sent thousands of angels, but that the scriptures had to be fulfilled. It wasn’t the angry mob, or the hand holding the hammer or a guilty verdict that crucified Him. Had the soldier hesitated, Jesus Himself would have swung the mallet. That’s how much He loves you.
One day Henry Beecher went to his church to preach. There was a note on the pulpit with the word ‘fool’ in large letters. He said that sometimes he received letters where the person forgot to sign his name, but this time, someone signed their name but forgot to write the letter. How will you handle offences when they come? You will be unjustly criticized, forget it and move on. If the criticism is just, pray about it and work on it.
Working on problems with your partner doesn’t mean they will become perfect. Learn to change the things that can be changed and live with the rest. Love is not rude, self-seeking, easily angered and keeps no records. New habits and ways of thinking do not happen in one day.
Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. Pr 12:18. NIV
The three stages of reading the Bible:
Castor oil stage: we study it because we know it’s good for us, but it’s not too enjoyable.
The Cereal stage: it is dry and uninteresting, but we know its nourishing
The peaches and cream stage: we are really feasting on the Word of God.
Self-serving people regard their talents and resources as something they own. Serving people see themselves as executors of God’s estate; they know they don’t own it, they just administer it for Him.

Hey Lord, Pastor J said something today. I am more aggressive than her. She prays that people have the opportunity to accept You before they die. I pray that they don’t die until they receive You. I pray for them to be brought to their knees, and that their eyes be opened and that they are drawn inextricably and irresistibly towards You. I pray that the Holy Spirit is poured down upon them and that Your hand is heavy on them, that their souls are stirred until they meet the Prince of Peace. I take authority over the devil that he can’t put a veil over their eyes or ears or let attitudes stop them from accepting You.
Tim preached today. Grace is the empowering presence of God. Because God poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Phil 2:13 – God gives us strength.
Message of gospel is not just to receive forgiveness, it’s a transformed life.
We must continually choose LIFE.
1 Cor 6:12 Everything is permissible, not beneficial. ‘meant’ – another word is ‘intended’
Heb 4:16 come boldly into throne of grace. God will help us.
We need to administer grace to each other. (since none of us are perfect)
As spiritual head of the house, when there is unrest in the family, it is often because the father has let holes come in the spiritual umbrella of grace over the family. Blessings of forefathers travel 1,000 generations. (deut 5:10)
Healed of Cancer by Dodie Osteen.
Ps 30:2,3 O Lord, I pleaded with You and You gave me my health again. You brought me back from the brink of death, from the grave itself, and here I am alive! (TLB) That means she is using the Living Bible, which is a paraphrase and not as accurate, but it is very good for new Christians because it is easy to understand. And some verses are just better illuminated.
The word of God is our hope. Hos 4:6 my people perish for lack of knowledge.
Ps 75:1 says that we thank the Lord, because His mighty miracles prove that He cares.
Heb 11:1 says that hope is the substance of things hoped for.
Ps 118:17 says that God wants you to live to declare His works.
Learn not to say idle words. She used to say she was disgustingly healthy, which was a bad confession and she took her life for granted. Now she appreciates every day as a gift. Be grateful for your life and your health, because God gives it to you.
The doctors gave her a few weeks to live with or without chemo, so she went home to pray. She does not advocate no chemo, but it wasn’t going to help her. She had lots of people praying for her, but God told her it was her own faith that would get her healed.
Matt 18:19 is about two or three agreeing and it shall be done.
They took authority over the cancer and she believed that she was healed from that moment on, and acted healed even though she still felt sick and had all the symptoms.
She examined her conscience and dealt with everyone that she held offence against and asked for forgiveness of everyone she may have offended. Isa 43:25,26 says that He blots out our transgressions and doesn’t remember our sins, and to come before Him to state our case so we may be acquitted. She put pictures of her in her health around her bed, so she could see herself that way. She also went out to pray for others, James 5:16 says pray for others, that you may be healed. Luke 6:38 says to give and it will be given to you. If you just let your mind dwell on yourself, it gets you down.
Heb 10:23 says to hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, because He who promised is faithful. Her brain wavered and it made her feel condemned, but in her heart she didn’t waver. Resist the thoughts of the devil and he will flee from you.
She felt fearful sometimes and the devil sticks the boot in and said she is going to die, but she refuted him with the word of God. Ps 91:16 – long life and salvation.
1 Peter 2:24 – By His stripes I am healed.
Phil 2:13 God works in me to will and to do for His good pleasure.
The devil says, see it’s not helping quoting the scripture.
Do not be critical of other people – you have not been in their shoes and you don’t know what they are going through.
It IS God’s will for you to be well, not sick. God did not put that sickness on you. The devil comes to steal, kill and destroy, but Jesus came to give abundant life (Jn 10:10)
That verse says ‘might’ have life – you have a choice. (Life and death are in the power of the tongue)
Her husband and children would come to her every day and say “You are healed”
Sometimes she cried and hurt, but her husband stood by her and prayed for her and encouraged her with the word.
Ps 105:37 He brought them forth with gold and there was no one feeble among them.
Her family continually treated her as if she were well. When she asked them to do something for her, they encouraged her to do it herself. It stopped her from going into a pity party for herself.
When a pity session tries to start on you, speak the word over your life and command your body to come into line with it. People ask her if she has been back to the doctor to confirm her healing by getting the tests re-done. Hello! She was given a few weeks in 1981 and she is still healthy.
Heb 13:8 Jesus is the same . Nah 1:7 The LORD is good, a stronghold and He knows those who trust Him.
Prov 4:20-22 – Keep the word in your eyes and your heart because they are life and health.
Don’t get angry with God. Don’t give up the fight. God wants you well.
Jer 30:17 – He will restore our health and heal our wounds.
When people asked how she was, she just said “I am blessed of the Lord”
Your immune system will work with you is you are a fighter. 1 Pet 5:7 – casting all our cares on Him.
You need to give your life to the Lord, then trust His word.
Jos 21:45 – not one word of the Lord failed.
Rom 8:11 – He raised Christ from the dead and will give life to our mortal bodies.
Matt 8:2,3 – He is willing.
Ex 15:26 – He will not put on you any of the diseases.
Heb 11:6 – He rewards those who diligently seek Him.
Ex 23:25 – He will bless our bread and water and take sickness away. (If we serve Him)
Deut 7:15 – He will take away all sickness.
Mal 3:10 – Obey all God’s commands and receive His blessings.
Ps 103:1-5 Heals all your diseases, redeems your life from the pit, crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, satisfies your mouth with good things so your youth is renewed like the eagles.
Ps 107:20 – He sent His word and healed them.
Deut 30:19 – set before you life and death – choose life.
Ps 91:16 – long life.
Isa 53:5 – He bore our sicknesses, by His stripes we were healed.
Jer 30:17 – God will restore your health.
Matt 18:18 – Command whatever on earth.
Matt 18:19 – two or three agree.
Mk 11:22-23 speak to the mountain.
Mk 11:24 – believe and receive.
It took months and months of believing before she felt healed and lots of times she felt as though she were going to die, but she quoted the word and held on.
Prov 6:2 – snared by the words of our mouth.
Mk 16:17,18 Lay hands on the sick and they shall recover

1 Jn 3:21,22 If our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence and whatever we ask, we receive.
2 Tim 1:7 God has not given us a spirit of fear, so rebuke it.
2 Cor 10:4,5 – casting down imaginations. (fear) Tell your thoughts to line up with the word of God.
Eph 6:10-13 Be strong in the Lord and put on His armour.
Rev 12:11 overcame by blood of lamb and word of testimony. Testify.
You are His chosen vessel, so don’t take the healing and run. Give your life 100% to Him.
Nah 1:9 Sickness will not come upon you a second time.
Hey Lord, look at all the nasty things smoking does to your skin, because they contain nicotine, carbon monoxide, tar and lead: - reduce blood flow to the skin, reduce circulating oxygen and break down the skin’s collagen and elastin. Also reduces the water content of the skin’s outer layer, and increases risk of psoriasis, skin cancers and hair loss. And, do you know what green tea does? Prevents cancer and shrinks tumors, they gave it to mice who had breast cancer and after 5 weeks, the tumors were 66% smaller than the mice who just had water. Green tea tastes disgusting, Lord, but you can get the peppermint one and put honey in it, I drink it all the time.

Hey Lord,
You answered a prayer and I didn’t even pray. You are amazing. The lock on my car door went squiff and one day I came home from work and the people from the lock shop that I go to were parked outside my flat in my car park (tradespeople have an inalienable right to do that, it comes with ostrich syndrome that this won’t put anyone out and that the owner can in fact be the one who has to walk further). I happened to be going out at the same time they were leaving from doing a job next door and thought I’d ask what the damage would be for repairs. The guy fixed it for free on the spot! Thanks for that – how many people get a house call for free for something they didn’t even pray about?
(This is ignoring the fact I read in a book about myth-busting that ostriches do not actually bury their heads in the sand, they rest their heads on the sand and because their head is the same colour, it looks like it is gone. They also pointed out that “Beam me up, Scotty” was never actually uttered, they shouldn’t have said that, because that’s like sticking a pin in the childhood bubble, tantamount to telling people that Santa doesn’t exist!!!)
God left us a great clue as to what foods help what part of our body!
God's Pharmacy! Amazing!
A sliced Carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye... and YES, science now shows carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.
A Tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart has four chambers and is red. All of the research shows tomatoes are loaded with lycopine and are indeed pure heart and blood food.
Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart. Each grape looks like a blood cell and all of the research today shows grapes are also profound heart and blood vitalizing food.
A Walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or folds on the nut are just like the neo-cortex. We now know walnuts help develop more than three (3) dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.
Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys.
Celery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb and many more look just like bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don't have enough sodium in your diet, the body pulls it from the bones, thus making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.
Avocadoes, Eggplant and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female - they look just like these organs. Today's research shows that when a woman eats one avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight, and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this? It takes exactly nine (9) months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).
Figs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow. Figs increase the mobility of male sperm and increase the numbers of Sperm as well to overcome male sterility.
Sweet Potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the glycemic index of diabetics.
Olives assist the health and function of the ovaries
Oranges, Grapefruits, and other Citrus fruits look just like the mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.
Onions look like the body's cells. Today's research shows onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes. A working companion, Garlic, also helps eliminate waste materials and dangerous free radicals from the body.
This is a ch__ch. What is missing?
And, do You know what I read in RD, Lord? Feverfew (which looks like a daisy and is all over the world) has parthendide derivative in it which kills leukaemia at the stem-cell level, they are trying to make it into a digestible drug. (There are things on the net for consuming it, don’t know about that though) And in Botany Bay (Sydney), they found that algae did not grow on the bottom of the boats, so they found a seaweed (Delisea pulchra) was the culprit and did tests and found that it has a compound called furanones which kills golden staph and tuberculosis.
Ps Danny Nahlia
Do you really want to see God move in your city? Do you need to get out of church right on time and get annoyed if the service goes overtime? Do we need a drive through Church service? Is your house a barbeque for all nations? No our house is a house of prayer for all nations! Prayer is the key for revival. Why is prayer the least promoted, advertised and financed thing in the church? 70% turn up for the church BBQ and 7% turn up for prayer meeting. We need to tell people what they need to hear, not what they want to hear. We are here to make disciples and prepare people to meet Jesus. We have made the church a business place. The blood of the people is on our hands. We are too afraid of offending people. Do you really love the nation? It means sacrifice.
When your back yard is in a mess, why are you running around seeking the lost. Bring prayer and repentance over the nation. The darkness is strong, and the people are not praying. Rise up prayer meetings. Pray for the nation. It’s time to take Jesus to the streets. This is a time for revival. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Jesus. Theology does not take you anywhere, the Spirit of God comes with power, don’t just preach the word, but live it. What is the use of coming to church is it is the same old? We need a supernatural release of the power of the Holy Ghost. The biggest problem is the church is not hearing from God, because they don’t pray or read the word, even most pastors only pray for 15 minutes a day. (What a disgrace) 95% of Christians don’t pray for more than 3 minutes a day.
Ignore it and it will pass by is a weakness, not kindness - it will grow up to be a monster. The word of God is the only way to see a victory. Let yourself be fired up and be inspired, if you don’t have input, you won’t get output.
Pray and read the word, pray and read the word. Praise God.
Get his books “Worship Under the Sword” and DVD’s. A man was raised from the dead in Parliament House in Canberra in 22 October. Cardiac arrest during the prayer meeting for rain. Two doctors were there, and there was no heart beat for 20 minutes, when Ps prayed, the man came back to life. He is a pastor now in Sydney. The Lord told him while he was in heaven that the Australian church is built on sand and that God is very disappointed and that the church is not ready for His soon coming return.
Daniel prayed and was thrown into the lion’s pit, and there was a revival.
God needs to know that He can trust you with what He is giving you, - you will be tested. Jesus is passing by, will we call out? Daniel was a man of prayer, and as a result, they were empowered and strengthened. Challenge is coming. We must pray, otherwise we not stand. Whether you choose to believe it or not, we are in a war, and we wear the uniform, and if you don’t want to shoot, you will die. You had better get training and read the word of God. Equip your arsenal with the best weapons.
Forget conferences, get on your knees in your bedroom and start praying.
Stop living on someone else’s testimony, get your own. Get into the presence of God and start telling people about Jesus. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Have you told anyone that Jesus loved them in the last 3 months? In the last year have your led anyone to the Lord? Have you prayed with/for anyone in the last 6 months? If you fail this test, we need to get our act together. Do we weep over the Christian divorces and the youth suicides. The divorce rate in Christian families where there is not family prayer is one in two, but in the families where they pray together, it’s one in 10,000. Do not let this revival pass by. Why don’t we pray in tongues in the church? (Because people get offended) Let’s let the Spirit of God move in the church. We have become so user friendly, we have kicked out the Spirit of God. The depth of worship determines strength of anointing. Political correctness is the biggest hindrance in the church. Let’s do it God’s way, and set the captives free.
The Skeptic’s Guide to God. By David Heenan
Whether or not God exists must be answered for everyone. It changes our value, the way we live and whether or not things are right or wrong. If we are just evolved pond scum, then who is to say what is right or wrong? If God doesn’t exist, then we may as well eat, drink and be merry because there are no repercussions or absolutes. If He does exist, why did He create us? What is He like? Does He care about us? Will He communicate with us? Is there something deeper to life? Sheer intellectual curiosity? A supernatural event? A need that requires a greater help?
An influential exponent of evolution in early days was Aldous Huxley. He had an underlying motive for professing belief in evolution. In an article entitled “Confession of a Professed Atheist”..”I had motives for not wanting the world to have meaning…. The philosophy of meaningless was essentially an instrument of liberation…. Liberation from a certain political and economic system, and liberation from a certain system of morality. We objected to the morality because it interfered with our sexual freedom.”
Approximately 10,000 scientists in the US believe in a creator. The expanding universe proves that there was a beginning. Also within the DNA double helix, the design is so complicated that it requires a creator. Evolutionist Professor of Geology David Kitts said that “Evolution requires intermediate forms between species and paleontology does not provide them”
Rocks from the Cambrian Period (supposedly about 600 million years old ) have been found to have fully formed creatures in them, such as sponges, sea urchins, and swimming crustaceans etc. Piltdown Man (one of the missing links) was found to be a hoax and was a human skull married to an orangutan’s jaw. Many scientists are prepared to bury the truth in order to support their own philosophical stance.
Darwin’s imagined warm little pond with all sorts of ammonia and phosphoric salts, light, heat, electricity etc, causing a protein compound chemically forming into a complex change could not have happened. Scientists now know that there is no such thing as a simple blob, even the simplest bacteria have genomes consisting of approximately one million codons, and each codon, or genetic word consists of three letters from a four-letter alphabet. If the DNA of one human cell were unraveled and held in a straight line it would be almost one metre long. Then there would also have to be RNA and proteins present for life to exist and this requires at least 75 different protein molecules, and they all have to be synthesized by the process in which they themselves are involved. The chance of evolution happening is the same as that of a tornado going through a junk yard and assembling a Jumbo Jet.
He talks about how complex birds and flight are and how a less evolved form could not survive. And about several other creatures which could never have survived in a semi developed state.
When a human eye starts to develop, it begins growing a million microscopic optic nerves simultaneously from the optic centre of the brain and from the eye. Each one of these one million optic nerves must find and match up to it’s precise mate to enable vision to function perfectly. The retina (thinner than paper) contains 137 million light-sensitive cells, which perform up to ten billion calculations per second in determining the nature of the image transmitted to the eye by light photons. To mimic the retina, you would need a computer chip that weighed at least 100 pounds. How could this evolve, when any uncompleted one would not work at all? Charles Darwin even admitted that the whole thing was so complex that for natural selection to work here, it would be “absurd in the highest degree”.
Our food and drink would be deadly to us if the liver were not fully functioning. He also goes on about the brain and heart.
Human bodies alone present more than sufficient evidence of a Designer to any fair minded observer.
Then he talks about the delicate balance of synchronized forces that are needed to support life on the earth, perfect distance from the sun, the gravitational pull of the moon, the perfect axis of the earth, the magnetic field, the presence of water and how it affects the earth, gravity, electromagnetism and the ways that all these things interact.
Then he talks about the universe. The Hubble telescope has observed over 3,000 galaxies but scientists believe there could be as many as 500 billion!
Famous astrophysicist Stephen Hawking says that Christians would need to answer “Who created God?” Astrophysicist Hugh Ross says that people fall into the trap of presuming that God is bound by the laws of science and time that bind us. He wrote a book called The Creator and the Cosmos explaining how the intricately designed the universe is and could not have happened without a Creator.
Then he quoted some scientists who say that there must be a Creator.
Then he talks about Ivan Panin and the numeric system throughout the Bible.
He talks about the Bible directing medical procedures for example using Hyssop oil for purification whenever they touched a dead body, and now we know that this contains 50% carvacrol, an antibacterial and antifungal agent still used in medicine, and how circumcism on the eight day is optimum because two blood clotting agents – Vitamin K and prothrombin are at their peak then. At the time of Moses, the Egyptians used dung a lot in medicines. (The Israelites were instructed to bury their dung because God said it was filthy.) The Bible had instructions for treating infectious patients, that included washing in running water, quarantining and exposing to sunlight.
The Bible described the Hydrologic Cycle 3,000 years ago: Job 36:27-28 “He draws up the drops of water, which distil as rain to the streams; the clouds pour down their moisture”. Modern science made the discovery in the early 1700’s
Matthew Maury was the first to map major ocean currents for ocean-going vessels after reading Isaiah 16:43 “This is what the LORD says – He who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters” (He did not point out that Isaiah also says that God sits on the circle of the earth)
There is a book by Michael Drosnin, who documents a mysterious code using advanced computers. The original Hebrew text was written without spaces between letters, words or sentences. He did things like take every 5th letter and came up with some interesting things, like Gen 39:20 talks about Joseph in prison, the word Bastillia came up and also the words ‘French Revolution”, “Louis” and the “House of Bourbon” and other famous names came up throughout the Bible: Shakespeare, Mozart and Picasso and “President Kennedy”, “Dallas”, “Watergate” and “Nixon” came up in context. Elsewhere, all clustered together are “Twin”, “towers”, “airplane” “it knocked down” and “twice”. He says there also specific mentions of Hitler and Bin Laden. Isa 53, which talks about the sufferings of Jesus, if you take every 20th letter, says “Jesus is my name”
He talks about how archaeologists have discovered evidence of Noah’s Ark and of the crossing of the Red Sea.
He talks about how we seek a hero to save us from darkness, and this is the theme of many popular movies, and how we are fascinated by the supernatural.
Then he talks about how Jesus’ life was foretold and how He fulfilled many scriptures.
Then he talked about how Jesus’ death and resurrection became our divine rescue plan, and about His life here on earth and about how since then, Christians have suffered and died for their faith, about the Bible predictions for the end times, recent times miracles, the origin of the song Amazing Grace (he was a slave trader) and his ship was in danger of sinking in a storm and he remembered a verse: Pr 1:24-26 ‘But since you rejected me when I called… I will mock you when calamity overtakes you like a storm… the complacency of fools will destroy them; but whoever listens to me will lie in safety and be at ease; without harm’.
Then he mentions famous people who were Christians. I laughed when he said that CS Lewis was converted after disputing with JRR Tolkien – who can argue with him?
You can read about famous sports people who have come to know God on www.TheGoal.com.
Then he talks about how to come to know God and how to have a relationship with Him, and how other religions don’t lead you to Him or save you. Then he talks about the Da Vinci Code, which is presented as facts when in fact, it is fiction. Summed up in the words of Laura Miller, “The only thing more powerful than a worldwide conspiracy, it seems, is our desire to believe in one”
Then he gave his testimony and a bit of stuff about how to grow in God, like find a good church, feed your soul and talk to God.

Hey Lord, isn’t this amazing? Job 33:23-30 about You. “yet if there is an angel on his side as a mediator, one out of a thousand, to tell a man what is right for him, to be gracious to him and say, ‘spare him from going down to the pit; I have found a ransom for him’ then his flesh is renewed like a child’s it is restored as in the days of his youth. He prays to God and finds favour with him, he sees God’s face and shouts for joy; he is restored by God to his righteous state. Then he comes to men and says, ‘I sinned and perverted what was right, but I did not get what I deserved. He redeemed my soul from going down to the pit, and I will live to enjoy the light.’ God does all these things to a man – twice, even three times – to turn back his soul from the pit, that the light of life may shine on him.”

Hey Lord, I got this album, I really like it. Jami Smith. I really like the first song, Ps 63. The words are really good. You always cause my heart to laugh, Lord.

Water. Most people don’t drink enough, we need 6-8 glasses a day. This figure does not include other drinks. Our body is composed of 75% water and brain tissue about 85% water. Without sufficient water, we cannot properly aid our bodies in the elimination of wastes. Minor symptoms of dehydration will include headaches, feeling tired and groggy, constipation and dry skin. If left unattended, problems with blood pressure, circulation, kidney function, immune system function and digestive disorders will result. Filtered water is best because tap water contains chlorine and fluorine, both toxic chemicals that build up over time in our bodies. Our need of fluorine is a controversial one. Tap water is also inundated with other chemicals including algaecides, oxidants and pH inhibitors in the treatment process. Distilled water should also be avoided because it has the wrong ionization, pH, polarization and oxidation potentials, and can drain your body of necessary minerals. Finally, drink water at room temperature if possible, as ice-cold water can harm the delicate lining of your stomach. When doing exercises, make sure you are hydrated because the first sign of dehydration is hunger.
75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. (Likely applies to half the world population.) In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is mistaken for hunger. Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as 3%. One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University of Washington study. Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers. A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page. Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79% and one is 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer. Are you drinking the amount of water you should drink every day? COKE In many states the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the trunk to remove blood from the highway after a car accident. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of Coke and it will be gone in two days. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a crumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion. To loosen a rusted bolt: Apply a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes. To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake. Thirty minutes before ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Coke for a sumptuous brown gravy. To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of Coke into the load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your windshield. FOR YOUR INFORMATION: the active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. It will dissolve a nail in about four days. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase of osteoporosis. To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial trucks must use a hazardous Material place cards reserved for highly corrosive materials. The distributors of Coke have been using it to clean engines of the trucks for about 20 years! Now would you like a glass of water or Coke?
Good and bad fats. Wrong fats adds kilos to your waist, clogs your arteries and puts you at risk of developing cancer, but eating too little of the good fat is just as deadly.
Fat or cholesterol is the source material for cell membranes and various hormones. Also, fat is a concentrated form of energy and without fats providing satiety, we would be hungry minutes after finishing a meal.
Saturated fatty acids constitute at least 50% of all cell membranes, play a vital role in the health of our bones, enhance the immune system, protect the liver from alcohol and other toxins and guard against harmful micro-organisms in the digestive tract.
Bad fats to steer clear of are the hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated fats or trans-fats, which are found in almost every processed food, such as cereals, chips, crackers, doughnuts, French fries.
These liquid oils have been injected with hydrogen gas at a very high temperature to change the structure of the molecules so that it is more stable or solid at room temperatures. It is these trans-fats that lead to clogged arteries and heart disease and because they lower the ‘good’ cholesterol, they indirectly lead to high levels of bad cholesterol.
Also contrary to past popular belief, unsaturated vegetable oils such as sunflower, canola, sesame, corn oils and margarine should be avoided. This is primarily due to their high omega-6 fatty acid content and because on heating, they become trans-fats.
Recent research has revealed that too much omega-6 can result in an increased tendency to form blood clots, inflammation, high blood pressure, irritation of the digestive tract, depressed immune function, sterility, cell proliferation, cancer and weight gain. The good fats are butter, meat, coconut oil and extra virgin olive oil.
Cancer: Cause & Cure by Percy Weston.
He talked about childhood exposure to chemicals, mostly phosphorus. They used it to kill rabbits with, and it was in matches, so when he lit candles, the fumes affected him.
In the gold fields, many got sick and died from poor nutrition and unhygienic conditions.
When a child, his mum gave clean water and sulphur compounds or lemon and Epsom salts or golden syrup and powdered sulphur. She used a packet of Epsom salts with ajug of lemon juice, 2 teaspoons sulphur and half cup of golden syrup. Other kids got diphtheria or flu, but not them.
Tabacco didn’t cause cancer when it was first grown, but changes in the way it is grown and processed now, it does. Phosphorus changes the genetic structure. Natural tobacco, (as the Indians used to smoke it) had high niacin and helped in digestion of meat and corn and was a wonderful vermifuge. It also relieved fatigue and kept you healthy. It cured scurvy, sinus trouble and relieved colds. Tabacco only became to blame for lung cancer after it was grown using super phosphates.
After he started using it, he noticed the mice on his farm had tumors. His livestock that grazed where he had used super phosphates got sick and cancer and when moved to another paddock, thrived.
Soil that has had super phosphates added is depleted of natural elements: calcium, sodium, magnesium, potassium, iron. These curb phosphoric activity. So we need to eat Carrots, spinach, pumpkin (yuk), cabbage, onion, beetroot and fruit grown in an orchard.
Milk, butter, meat and bread are naturally high in phosphate (we need some in our diet)
He took a mixture of sodium bicarbonate, magnesium sulphate, potassium sulphate, iron sulphate and potassium iodide in defined proportions and cured himself of cancer (in his hand, diagnosed as terminal by a doctor) and arthritis. Because it was water soluble, it introduced ions quickly into the blood. Also was germicidal (keep bacteria at bay).
You can buy a “food additive” alkaline-mineral powder similar to this from the health food shop.
He says DDT is responsible for global warming because by photosynthesis, the algae in the ocean grew because of 1.5million tones of DDT poured into it and turned oxygen to carbon dioxide. The oxygen production fell by 85%.
Chlorine is corrosive and lethal and water should be made safe by irridation.
His wife had uterine cancer and he gave her the salts and she was healed and had two kids. Later, she had breast cancer and was cured also. He says skin melanomas are caused by phosphorus being absorbed and passing to capillaries and interacting with ultra violet radiation from the sun.
He did lots of experiments on sheep with phosphorus, salt licks and caused and cured cancer at will.
His eyesight started to go so he tried Vitamin A from the chemist, but it didn’t help because vitamins need to be taken in combination with other complimentary substances (like is found in food).
For his eyes, he took deep-orange fruits, cantaloupe, raw veggies especially carrots, beet greens and cabbage. He also got renewed energy by eating niacin (peanuts, potatoes and rice) and cobalt-charged B12 (milk, fish and lamb liver)
His sheep lick gave nutrition and immunity against disease. He stopped yarding healthy sheep and vaccination. All bacterial diseases were reduced to odd cases and fly strike became rare.
He says cot death was virtually unheard of before super phosphates. (Only in premies and when the mother smoked (phosphorus) ) Before he had to buy supermarket milk, (because his farm was hormone sprayed by the council), he never had a hand-reared calf die, but when he fed supermarket milk, twenty nine of the thirty died. He said from bloat, which paralysed digestive apparatus and then they were unable to belch out gases of fermentation in the rumen. Gas pressure therefore caused the heart and lungs to not function and the cows died quietly.
Oversupply of phosphorus in blood facilitates rapid reproduction of germs (bacteria and viruses) so you need the right minerals to neutralize it. Phosphorus produces arthritis and makes plaque cells that clog arteries grow.
Lemon juice and herbal honey help eliminate phosphorus.
He says having a cold (excreting phlegm and mucous) help the body to eliminate excess phosphorus.
He talks about Dr Joel Wallach who claims that cures were found 50 years or more ago, for lots of things: Ulcers, which are not cuaed by tension but by the germ helicobacterpylori (and cured with bismuth and tetracycline); cardiomyopathy (cured with selenium), Alzheimer’s disease (cured in its early stages with high does of vit E and low doses of vegetable oil), osteoporosis including kidney stones and low back pain (cured with calcium supplement, and boron), aneurisms (cured with a copper supplement), some types of arthritis (with gelatine), and diabetes (with the trace minerals chromium and vanadium).
Also, PMT (to relieve 85% of the emotional and physical symptoms, take twice the recommended daily dose of calcium, grey hair, facial and body-skin wrinkles, varicose veins, sagging under the arms, legs, belly or breast (take some copper supplement), liver spots or age spots on the face or hands or ‘radical damage’ (take selenium supplement), male-pattern baldness (take a tin supplement); low blood sugar (take chromium and vanadium and so avoid diabetes); losing your senses of taste and smell (take a zinc supplement); learning disabilities, bone problems, anaemia, a craving for sweets or dirt (give a general mineral supplement.)
He also identified 157 different diseases caused by calcium deficiency. Osteoporosis of the joint ends of bones, in 85% of all cases of arthritis, including lumbago and sciatica. Grey hair is the first sign of copper deficiency, and a dose of copper can restore natural colour. Copper controls the health of the body’s elastic fibres, returning it to the diet can banish crows-feet, body wrinkles and sagging.
Some vitamins come mixed with phosphorus to make them soluble. Avoid them. And watch out for overdosing on some vitamins and minerals, for example copper.
A capful of kerosene in a dam prevents mosquitoes from breeding. He made a bug trap by suspending a 75W pearl globe 5cm above a dish containing water and a tablespoon of kero. He trapped moths, aphids, thrip, rutherglen, leafhoppers, mites and spiders.
Then he told some tobacco home truths, which would be very scary if we understood it, but when lit, the cigarette produces some nasty poisons and will kill you.
He says a diet rich in calcium, iron, potassium and magnesium can work wonders for MS.
He talks about the link between trace cadmium residue and arterial deposition of cholesterol.
Look up Dr Hulda Clark on the net. www.healthastute.com. Her book, The Cure for All Cancers.
Dr Clark , besides doing some very interesting studies on cancer, and curing it, talks about a fluke worm found in the human body, which is harmless when in the gut, but the eggs can get into our system through small lesions in the lining of the bowel. Then they can be pulled into the bloodstream and be attracted to weak or damaged organs. (get the book if you want any of all this explained) but, it causes Crohn’s disease, frequent bouts of colitis or irritable bowel syndrome. When the eggs hatch, they produce a powerful growth factor that acts on the surrounding cells so that benign tumors quickly turn malignant.
Isopropyl alcohol accumulates in the liver (from antiseptic, and other body products including toothpaste, mouthwash, body lotion, shampoo, hair spray, mousse, shaving supplies and rubbing alcohols), it gets absorbed into the skin and this is what enables this worm to propagate inside the body. 100% of cancer patients had the worm in their liver and people without cancer always tested negative to having it in their liver.
He also talked about the walnuts he grew, which killed parasites, good stuff but complicated. They kill the liver worm.
Then there’s testimonies. And Percy has also written a book about cancer-fighting foods.
Muscle CrampsA muscle cramp, technically, occurs when your muscle tightens and shortens causing a sudden severe pain. Muscle cramps generally result from overexertion and dehydration. When you don't have enough fluid in your system, it leads to an electrolyte imbalance that causes your muscles to cramp up. Electrolytes are minerals such as sodium, magnesium, calcium and potassium that help the cells to function normally. An imbalance occurs when we have too much or too little of one or more electrolytes in our system. The main electrolytes affecting muscle cramping are potassium, sodium and calcium.Cramps may also occur after inactivity, such as sitting too long in one place without moving a muscle. Sometimes you can even get a cramp when you're just lying in bed, though researchers cannot define a cause. Most often people get cramps in their calves, however, you can also get them in your thighs, feet or just about any muscle. Cramps can be eased by a few simple methods. First, relax the tightened area. You should gently massaging the area that's cramped, whether it's a crick in your calf from over exercising or a spasm in your feet. Second, stretch the muscle out slowly and gently, as long as you don't feel pain. For calf cramps, do a wall stretch. Stand about three feet away from the wall, with your knees straight and your heels on the floor. Lean into the wall, supporting yourself with your hands. You will feel the stretch of your calf muscles. Hold for 60 seconds and repeat three times. You should also make sure to drink plenty of fluids. If you get muscle cramps after exercise, drink water or a sports drink or juice to rehydrate and restore your electrolyte balance. Most of the time water will be sufficient to rehydrate you, however, you are then better off choosing a sports drink containing electrolytes. You may also undo a cramp with ice. Ice is both a pain reliever and an anti-inflammatory. Try massaging the area with ice for no more than ten minutes or until the area is bright red, which indicates that blood cells have returned to heat the cramped muscle. If ice is too uncomfortable, try heat. Heat improves superficial blood circulation and makes muscles more flexible, so some people find that heat is more soothing for muscle cramps than ice. Try a heating pad for 20 minutes at a time or even a warm shower or bath. Make sure to massage the muscle with your hands following ice or heat.Prevent Muscle Cramps by Drinking WaterMost of us have experienced muscle cramps at one time or another. Cramps can affect anyone, whether you are a regular exerciser or a regular couch potato. They strike many of us when we are sound asleep - waking us up in the middle of the night with a sharp, piercing pain. but cramps may affect some of us during a baseball game or in the middle of a volleyball match. Resulting from an abnormal muscle contraction, a cramp occurs as the muscle locks into an awkward and sustained spasm because of that contraction. Although the calves are the most likely site for a cramp, any muscle in the body is vulnerable. Medical specialists are not exactly sure what causes cramps, but they do recognize several factors that are associated with them. Muscles that are overworked, injured or exposed to extreme temperatures may be more likely to succumb to a cramp.Other factors include:Dehydration - A body that is dehydrated can make muscles more vulnerable to cramps. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids during the day, especially if you exercise. Electrolyte imbalance - Electrolytes can be found in the minerals potassium and sodium, and they carry an electric charge that helps trigger your muscles to contract and relax. Dehydration can disrupt the balance between potassium and sodium which may cause
Muscle cramps. You need to constantly refurbish your body's fluids in order to keep electrolyte balance and reduce your chances of suffering muscle cramps. Mineral Deficiency - Sometime, too much or too little of certain minerals other than potassium and sodium in your diet can onset a muscle cramp. Two important minerals for your body are calcium and magnesium. Sufficient amounts of these and other minerals in your diet can help you avoid muscle cramps. For immediate relief of a cramp, gently stretch the muscle. Although this can be quite painful, it will help the muscle to relax. Stretching a contracted muscle increases the tension on the tendons and causes the muscle to relax. Pressing on the muscle, massaging it and applying ice while stretching can also help to relieve the cramp.Stretching and massaging are only temporary treatments for a continuing problem. In order to avoid muscle cramps in the future, you must change some of your dietary and lifestyle habits. Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration, get enough potassium and sodium by eating foods such as bananas and oranges, build up your body's levels of other important minerals, keep your muscles in shape and conditioned with regular exercise, stretch your muscles throughout the day, and wear appropriate clothing - tight clothing that interferes with blood flow can lead to cramps. Muscle cramps are a common problem, but by following a few simple guidelines to make sure your body is well-nourished and properly hydrated, you can eliminate your risk for muscle cramps. Don't let cramps slow you down - eat mineral -rich foods, drink lots of water and take good care of your muscles.
‘Other people will laugh at me or don’t want to lose friends.’ 2 Tim 2:12 if we endure,
we will also reign with Him. If we disown Him, He will also disown us;
James 4:4 friendship with the world is hatred towards God.

Joel 3:10 Let the weak say ‘I am strong”
Isa 27:5 – Let him take hold of My strength.
3 Jn v 2 – Prosper and be in health

1 Jn 15:14,15 – we know He hears us and answers us.
